About the Journal
Kalaa Samiksha is a dedicated online monthly journal that views art not merely as a visual experience but as a vibrant dialogue deeply connected with society, culture, literature, philosophy, history, politics, environment, and contemporary concerns. The journal treats art criticism as an intellectual practice, aiming to highlight the interconnections among various disciplines. Our aim is to bring art out of a narrow framework into a broader discourse where both artistic creation and ideology are critically evaluated. In this direction, we welcome articles, essays, and reviews that shed light on changing societal and ideological perspectives through art. Kalaa Samiksha publishes articles in both Hindi and English, and also presents diverse perspectives through translations from other Indian languages. The journal provides an independent platform for emerging writers, critics, researchers, and artists to actively participate in contemporary art discourse. Each month, we invite new ideas, perspectives, and discussions so that art transcends the walls and becomes a living document of our times.
